I began this site in early July.  As of right now, you'll only find info on the following pages:

  • Classroom tour
  • Math Workshop
  • About me
  • Vistaprint
  • Art
  • Literacy
  • Site map

I will be writing and posting more throughout the summer.  This site is mostly for my own planning and reflecting, so you'll find that it can be a bit "me-centred" and even - dare I say it - self-indulgent.  I'm wordy - I talk a lot, I write a lot.  This is a space for me to think, refine and grow as a teacher.  It's also to help me organize my ideas and resources.  While I might seem organized to those who only know me through this website, the fact is that I'm a bit of a chaotic idea collector.  I have ideas scrawled on envelopes and random printed sheets all over my house and classroom.   My home computer has hundreds of bookmarked sites, none of which are organized into folders; multiply that by two when you add my school computer.  I save documents in multiple folders on my computers and regularly recreate something that I find a few months later.  I'm hoping that by chronicling my teaching, I'll be able to read my own page next year and say "oh yeah!  That's where that is!" or "I forgot that I did that!".  Finally, I'm creating this site as a place to share ideas and resources with other teachers.

While there are photos of my classroom, I will never post a photo of a child.  Parents and students can access our secure moodle site for pictures, projects, news and other exciting stuff.
